I feel i made a mistake by choosing the Nokia E61i. The so called Enterprise phone does not give 1 damn warning when deleting all contacts when uninstalling the Blackberry connect software. The cost – lost all my contacts and calendar entries on the phone.

Luckily I have an old backup of my 6630 to give me some peace.

The phone does not come pre-installed with blackberry connect. You have to manually initiate the setup. I did it and paid the price for it.

But not 1 warning anywhere. I m afraid Nokia loosing its trustworthiness !

Its almost been 2 years with my Nokia 6630, So I decided to go for a upgrade this time.

Nokia E61i is a phone which meets most of my requirements which are as follows

plenty of connectivity options – Wi-fi,Bluetooth,IR, GPRS , EDGE , 3G ( which is not coming to India anytime soon )

Sad points

But on the whole , I am happy to have got this phone . Much better than the 6630 on many lines.After all its only a day old.

NDTV wanted to do a feature on Mobile Blogging.So they contacted me through Kiruba.

The reporter and the crew came to my place on Wednesday evening after I was back from work.

I spoke about Mobile Blogging , MoMo Chennai and other related stuff.

I wanted to get a phone without a Camera and also with Wi-fi

Only two comes came to my mind – Nokia N80 and Nokia E60 

I love the E60 form factor. But the sad part is that the phone is not available atleast in Chennai.

But Nokia E65 and E61i look interesting.

E65 is a fat slider with a Cam. E61i has a Cam but is slimmer.

All Mobile Freaks are headed towards Chennai on May 6th.

Reason ? MoMo Chennai is going to take place on that day.

Our intention is to bring the event to Chennai as a lot of Mobile activity is happening here.

We plan to conduct this event in a quarterly basis and probably if things go fine turn it into a monthly event.

I was off for a short trip near hyderabad during the weekend.Had to travel some 300kms from Hyd to Mantralaya. The only connectivity I had was my Nokia 6630 with Airtel Mobile office. I was able to check mails using the Gmail Mobile App and could also read my favorite blogs using an RSS reader.

Opera Mini is also a must-have killer app. The speeds were dead slow but atleast transfers were happening.

Hope the networks are faster !!

I might go for a Sony Cybershot DSC-S600 or a Nikon Coolpix S6

The Nikon Coolpix attracts me because of the Wi-fi feature. I can easily transfer pics from the cam to my laptop.
