Thousands of Wordpress.com bloggers can’t see their blogs online now.

Bala and Subbu’s blog’s are down

I actually found this problem when I was trying to read GigaOM

Was surprised to see that they are hosted on wordpress.com

They’ve been trying to pull in big time bloggers at Wordpress.com for a while now, and they also try to track self hosted wordpress.org blogs with their stats plugin. This outage definitely shows the downside of putting your blog on Automattic’s servers.

Yes.. But folks still stick to blog on wordpress due to the amount of traffic they get from there.

Yes it was pretty bad yesterday da. Normally wordpress gives us a notice that it is going to shut down for maintenance.This time it hadn’t and my dash board says today also it is going to shutdown for some time.So my blog is unavailable for most of the weekend!
